Singer Brandon Lakes Reminds Us To Slow Down And Appreciate God’s Many Works

Christian music singer Brandon Lake shared a message and words of wisdom that everyone would do well to take to heart and practice regularly: appreciation for what God is and has done in your life.

Everyone wants things done this very instant. Society is programmed to do everything efficiently in a cost-effective way. Many people have even mastered the art of multitasking. Time is money, as the old saying goes.

People move at a million miles a minute, always looking for ways to become more efficient. It’s because of this “time is money” mentality most individuals have an issue with patience. Waiting isn't easy and is usually never an enjoyable experience.

However, God can use these times when we must wait and slow down to open our eyes to His many blessings. This is the insightful message and observation Brandon shared with his subscribers on YouTube

In the clip, Brandon is driving down a road. It’s a road that Brandon must slow down, or else he’ll cause damage to his truck. He admits that he would much rather travel down the path at a swift speed. But he says every time he slows down, he’s blessed.

“Every time I drive on this road, I don’t know why, but it gives me a peace,” he said. “Makes me take in creation, the trees around me. And although, at times, it can be frustrating not to just rip down a road and get to my house as fast as possible, it’s been kind of a gift.”

He also instructs people to be more welcoming of those periods and those times when life forces us to slow down.

“And don’t despise a slower season,” he said. “Because it might be that God’s giving you eyes for what He’s doing around you. And if you were in a really fast-paced season, it might be hard to take it in.”

Hundreds Of Former Students Return To Give Longtime Teacher Touching Sendoff

Joe Ciciimaro, or the man known as Mr.C, is an 83-year-old director of the performing arts department at the boys, La Salle College High School outside of Philadelphia. He has been there for 54 years, and it is now time for him to retire.

When his former students heard the news, now professional musicians, they came together to be conducted by him one last time. What a way to honor a former teacher!

You can’t help but compare this to the Richard Dreyfuss movie, Mr. Holland’s Opus from the 1990s. In the movie, the music teacher’s former students come back together with his current students and greet him with a standing ovation. They then go on to perform with him one last time.

More than 300 of Mr.C’s former students gathered for this event. This included Hugh Panaro from the class of 1982. He played the title role in the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.

Further on in the video, Inside Edition interviews a former student and Mr.C. Frank DiLella, the former student says, “When we walked into his band room it didn’t matter if you were a star on the football field, star on the basketball court, we walked in, we picked up our instruments, sat down at he piano, and we were all one.”

The interviewer then asks Mr.C what made him a great teacher. He responds, “My love of it!” A simple statement but a powerful one.

As someone in the comments says, “I’m not crying so lovely he must have been great teacher for 300 of former students to come back for this day.”

When former students want to come celebrate a teacher, you know that teacher has made a difference in their community. Mr. C is one of those teachers.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will guide you with my eye.” - Psalms 32:8

Entire Plane Cheers After Flight Attendant Announces Passenger Is Cancer-Free

When Haley and Josh Louvelle of Toronto, Canada got on board an airplane headed to Jamacia, Haley slipped a flight attendant a note she wanted her to read before they took off for their location. She had some big news she wanted her to share.

The young couple were headed to Jamaica on their honeymoon. The two had gotten married back in 2022 and were finally able to go on their honeymoon. The two had a lot to celebrate.

The note asked the flight attendant to share how her husband Josh had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, how he had received chemo and radiation, and how he had to have surgery to remove his right lung, thymus gland, the lining of his heart, and part of his diaphragm. She also asked her to mention how he had been on life support two times.

She ends the note with, “He fought for his life and is now cancer-free and on his way to his honeymoon in Jamaica! Please join me in giving Josh the biggest round of applause!!”

As you can see from the video, the flight attendant did read the note, and the plane responded with cheers and applause.

Josh was diagnosed with stage 4 Thymoma cancer in 2020. It spread to other parts of his body and was why he ended up on life support.

Here in 2024, the young couple is celebrating good health, and Haley wanted to share that with the rest of the plane.

Best wishes to Haley and Josh as they start a new chapter of their lives together. Being able to celebrate being cancer-free is a huge blessing and it is no wonder that his wife wanted to share that with other people.

“Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.” - Jeremiah 33:6

Judge Frank Caprio Explains Why People Want To Be In His Courtroom

A kind and benevolent judge, Frank Caprio, who has gained widespread popularity because of his unconventional rulings, states why he believes people want to appear before him in his courtroom.

The legal system is often a slow-moving, tangled and confusing mess. Lawyers and judges commonly throw around old Latin terms to explain cases and rulings, which only adds to the confusion. Even the most well-read person can get lost in all the appeals, rulings and verdicts.

Additionally, the judicial system can be intimidating, especially if called to appear in a courtroom after committing an offense. Fear, terror and anxiety will probably consume you if ever called to court for any reason at all.

But one man, Frank Caprio, a Providence, Rhode Island judge, has continually shown those who appear before him kindness, concern and compassion. When most other judges may not, Frank Caprio listens to those who appear before him and generally issues loving and caring rulings that consider the defendant’s situation.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Frank talked about why he commonly issues compassionate and loving rulings, which often result in tears from everyone in the room.

“So, as I’ve said many times, under my robe, I don’t have a script, right,” Frank said. “And I don’t have a badge, I have a heart.”

He adds that people want to be in his courtroom because of “genuineness.”

“We are an actual court proceeding,” he said. “We are not a studio court proceeding. People who come to my court are subpoenaed in by the sovereign, saying, ‘You have broken the law.’ So, they come in full of trepidation. They don’t know what’s going to happen. They don’t know if they’re going to be able to afford it.”

He added that those in his court are “real people with real problems who we try to treat with compassion, understanding and integrity.”

What a wonderful man with a heart for people who helps people whenever he can.

Proverbs 11:17 “The man who has mercy will be rewarded, but the cruel man is the cause of trouble to himself.”

Tauren Wells Shares 5 Bible Verses About God’s Love For Us

One of the biggest names in all Christian music, Tauren Wells, has shared what he believes to be the five Bible verses that best explain and detail “God’s crazy love for you.”

Life can become tricky and confusing at times. Knowing how to handle certain situations and people can become difficult. That’s why God’s Word is referred to as a “lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” The Bible is essentially an instruction manual for life. For every situation or circumstance we come up against, God’s Word has advice, words of wisdom or examples to help us navigate it.

Not only is the Bible a guidebook, but it’s also a love story. Throughout the Bible’s 66 books, God displays His immense and inexplicable love for us, a bunch of sinners. The most famous verse in the entire Bible is one in which it states that God loved the world so much that He sent his one and only Son to Earth to die upon the cross, taking our place.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Tauren highlights five other verses that mention the Lord’s unfailing and never-ending love for man. As Tauren sits, reading from and flipping through the Bible, verses from Psalms, Galatians and Jeremiah pop up on the screen.

Without God’s love, all would be lost and without hope. Man has willingly turned his back on God, deliberately disobeying Him and ignoring His commands, but choosing sin instead.

But even in our sins and shame, God still loved us enough to send His son to die so that we may not perish but have everlasting life with Him.

People will often bring up instances from the Old Testament and try to paint God as an angry and vengeful deity. But nothing could be further from the truth. He offers forgiveness, salvation and love to those who turn from their ways and follow Him.

Psalm 36:7 “How good is your loving mercy, O God! The children of men take cover under the shade of your wings.”

Courageous Police Officer Saves Child Who Had Fallen Into Icy Pond

One police officer’s heroic and quick-thinking actions saved the life of a young man who had fallen into an icy pond and was struggling to stay above the freezing water.

The men and women who work in law enforcement are regularly exposed to some of the worst elements of society. Whenever there is a deadly crash, a murder or some other tragedy, police officers are usually the first people on the scene. They encounter things that most people cannot handle or comprehend.

Additionally, officers rush to scenes of emergencies currently taking place. In those instances, they must act correctly and without hesitation. One false move or the slightest hesitation could mean the difference between life and death. In a clip posted on YouTube, a police officer raced to the scene where a child had fallen into a pond and was in danger of drowning.

Footage from the officer’s body camera shows the officers running through a snow-covered meadow to reach the scene of the emergency. After jumping over a fence, viewers see a head sticking out of the water. It’s the frightened 10-year-old child struggling to keep his head above the water.

After arriving on the scene, the officer must act fast. So, to get to and save the young man, the officer gets down on his hands and knees and begins crawling on the ice-covered pond. While the officer is making his way to the crying child, he is reassuring the child that he will be OK and he’s coming to him.

“I got down on all fours, and I just slowly started going out,” Troy Ellison, a patrolman with Jonesboro Police Department, said. “The ice was cracking a little. So, I just slowed down and had him reach out to me as far as he could.”

The video states that the young man will be OK.

Thank God that people like Troy, without thinking, put their safety at risk to help others. He is truly a hero!

John 15:13 “Greater love has no man than this, that a man gives up his life for his friends.”

Man Raises Thousands Of Dollars To Fill Up People’s Gas Tanks

One kind and caring individual raised nearly $30,000 to help people in Iowa fill up their vehicle’s gas tank.

Life, with all its many twists, turns and uncertainties, can be a difficult and overwhelming experience. Some situations and circumstances can beat people down so badly that they feel like giving up and throwing in the towel. Now, throw in a lack of finances and an inability to pay for crucial goods and services, and that would be enough to push anyone off the edge.

That’s why one man, Rob Johnson, a community activist, raised $28,000. The funds, as the clip posted on YouTube explains, were used to help people fill up their car’s gas tank.

Rob, in the clip, explained his motivation for being so generous and helping his fellow man.

“We do this because there’s a single mom and a single dad who needs that extra $40 to $100 to get to the next week,” Rob said. “We do this because there’s some pastor who is struggling that you don’t even know about because they never really talk about it openly.”

But Rob wasn’t the only person who was in attendance to help those who may be struggling in silence. The short clip states that 50 volunteers took time out of their day to pump gas for drivers in Iowa.

Unfortunately, everyone faces trials and hardships in life. Those experiences visit everyone at one time or another, they do not discriminate. But those dark valleys can be made much more bearable with kindness and care from others.

Throughout the Bible, followers of Christ are called to love and help one another, to lift each other up in times of stress and discomfort. Helping one another, in some form or fashion, is something that all can and should do.

1 John 3:17 “But if a man has this world’s goods, and sees that his brother is in need, and keeps his heart shut against his brother, how is it possible for the love of God to be in him?”

Singer Shows Christ-like Love To Struggling Mother Of 5

Musician and Youtuber Liv Swearingen got emotional and teared up recalling how God allowed her to encounter a struggling mother of five and show the love of Christ to her.

Sadly, many people are hurting and struggling in the world today. They are looking for even the smallest amount of hope or kindness, something that will show them that things can and will get better. Unfortunately, those individuals are everywhere and are all around us. They could be a neighbor, coworker, family member or close friend.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Liv stated how God used her stomach and a craving she had to send her to the grocery store to help someone in need. After picking up the lone ingredient – potatoes – a woman and her daughter approached Liv, asking if she was a YouTuber.

The woman and Liv got to talking. Eventually, the woman mentioned she and her five children have been enduring a tough time lately. Text in the video reads that the family was about to be evicted from their home.

Liv then offered to help the woman and her family out and offered to pay for her groceries.

“I just felt the Holy Spirit be, like, ‘Do this.’” Liv said.

Liv adds that they took a photo together and states, with tears rolling down her face, how helping and showing love to others is a requirement for Christians.

“Anyways, Jesus calls us to love,” Liv said. “It is our obligation to help each other.”

Again, people are hurting and struggling everywhere. The mission field is all around us. Wherever we go and whoever we meet is an opportunity to show Christ’s love. That kindness may make a monumental difference in someone’s life. That could be the reason an unbeliever comes to know Christ, all because of our kindness and obedience.

Galatians 5:13 “Because you, brothers, were marked out to be free; only do not make use of your free condition to give the flesh its chance, but through love be servants one to another.”

Group Of Texas Moms Distribute Clothes To Hundreds In Their Community

In this video clip from the Kelly Clarkson show, we get to learn about Haley, a mom of young kids, who did something amazing in her community.

Haley moved from Houston, TX to Fort Worth and ended up launching a Facebook group called, “The Weird Moms Club” to help find community.

Kelly brings Haley on the show via video to talk more about her group and how everything got started. In the video, she talks about how she and a new friend were joking around about how they are weird moms. She goes on to say, “We don’t fit that stereotypical mom mold. And we were joking around and I said, ‘There’t gotta be more moms like us, right’ and that’s how the Facebook group was started.”

The group started swapping clothes with each other, and that grew and grew until they turned that into a non-profit that distributed clothes out to the community who needed them.

Before the end of the segment, we hear that Pilot Pen is giving her $1,000 to celebrate bringing people together.

This video reminds us how important community can be and how we all need it. It also shows us that we can make a big difference just by following our hearts and working to make the world a better place.

God calls us to community, because we need one another, and we need to be showing love to one another. And as you can see, Hayey has done just that with her community.

“That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” - 1st Corinthians 12:25-27

Teacher Surprised With Marriage Proposal During Classroom Story Time

One young man used a unique opportunity in an elementary classroom to propose marriage to his teacher girlfriend, making for an incredibly heartwarming and moving moment.

Marriage is a beautiful, life-long commitment between two people to love and cherish one another for as long as the Lord permits them to remain on earth. But as everyone knows, the wedding ceremony and that commitment of love and devotion are all set in motion by one simple but monumental question.

How one proposes marriage to the love of their life is a big step in a relationship. It’s a moment that can often include months of meticulous planning. In a clip posted on YouTube, one couple explained to Kelly Clarkson how their sweet and unique marriage proposal came about, which included a classroom of children.

Rachel is an elementary school teacher in Indiana. To help grow her students' love and interest in reading, Rachel invites “mystery readers” to come to her classroom and read to her students. It just so happened that this week’s mystery reader was Rachel’s boyfriend, Austin.

The students and Rachel had no idea how the book would end, but it was the best possible ending imaginable!

“Now, there is something still missing. Yes, just one thing – a beautiful, radiant-cut diamond ring,” Austin reads in the clip. “And so, Rachel, here I am, getting down on one knee. With all the love in my heart, will you marry me?”

It's a moment that neither of them will ever forget.

Austin’s proposal did not exactly match Rachel’s request, she told Kelly. Rachel added that she was unsure if she or the kids were more surprised by Austin’s move.

“Yeah, the kids were squealing,” she said. “It’s hard to say because I had told Austin that I wanted a private proposal, just me and him. So, the entire time, I think they picked up on it way before me.“

Genesis 2:24 “For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.”

Amazon Driver Shovels Snow Off Man’s Wheelchair Ramp

One Amazon driver took time out of his busy work schedule to deliver unexpected love and kindness to a wheelchair-bound man.

Winter is likely most people’s least favorite season. The winter season can be potentially hazardous, making life more difficult for nearly everyone. The snow, ice, frigid temperatures and bone-chilling wind chills make travel more difficult and delay schools. Who wants to deal with all that?

However, the snow and ice that typically accompany winter can make life exceedingly more difficult for people with disabilities, especially those individuals confined to wheelchairs. As a clip posted on YouTube shows, one young man, an Amazon delivery driver, in Ohio seemed to understand this fact. During his delivery route, he stopped and shoveled snow off the wheelchair ramp at Don Wheeler’s home.

Typically, that’s a job that Don must do all by himself. As he explains, it’s a task that can require several hours even days to complete.

“It can take me hours even,” Don said. “Sometimes it’s taken me two days to shovel.”

But on one snowy day, Don did not have to shovel himself. He got some help.

“I got a message saying my package was the next delivery,” he said. “And I was getting ready to come out to shovel, and I was like, ‘Well, maybe I’ll meet the guy outside.”

Then Don started hearing an odd sound outside his front door.

“I realized I started hearing noises of somebody shoveling,” Don said. “I was like, ‘Is somebody shoveling my ramp?’”

Sure enough, Don looked out his window and witnessed the Amazon delivery driver hard at work, shoveling the snow off the wheelchair ramp.

When the Don attempted to thank the young man for his kind efforts, he smiled and went on his way, delivering packages. Don says that the delivery driver didn’t even give him his name.

“It was purely from the heart,” Don said.

What a kind and loving move from that young man. He did it because he saw a need and acted – an unexpected act of kindness that meant so much to Don.

Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind to one another, full of pity, having forgiveness for one another, even as God in Christ had forgiveness for you.”

Hero Officer Puts Life At Risk To Save Drowning 8-Year-Old

One woman, a Vermont state trooper, did not hesitate even for a second when it came to rescuing an 8-year-old girl drowning in an icy body of water.

The word “hero” gets thrown around far too often today. People, for some reason, will describe an athlete, a vainglorious actor or a morally bankrupt, power-hungry politician as a “hero.” In those and most other instances, the term most certainly does not apply.

However, there are a few frequent occasions when someone exhibits such courage, bravery and fearlessness that “hero” is the best and only way to describe them. Michelle Archer is the definition of a hero.

She jumped into an icy pond to save an 8-year-old girl who was drowning.

“There wasn’t a whole lot of thinking,” Michelle said. “It was just, you know, jumping into action.”

The water when Michelle jumped in was only 40 degrees. However, at the time of her heroic actions, Michelle states that she didn’t even notice the cold water. It’s clear that her only concern was saving the child’s life.

“It’s kind of interesting,” Michelle said. “On scene, I didn’t remember it being cold, but, you know, as you watch the video, I’m sure that people noticed that my breathing changed.”

After reaching the child, Michelle grabbed her and pulled her out of the water and onto the shore. Michelle admits that she did not think the young woman was going to make it.

But then something miraculous happened.

The young woman started making noises. It was a loud cry, a moaning sound. The little girl did survive the scary situation.

Praise God for Michelle’s heroic actions! She saved that young woman’s life and didn’t twice before jumping into a near-freezing pond to pull her to safety.

There are still heroes in society, and Michelle Archer is one of them.

92-Year-Old Is Oldest Person To Hike the Grand Canyon

A man in his 90s accomplished a stunning feat, setting the Guinness World Record for the oldest person to hike the Grand Canyon.

Exercise is an important and necessary component of achieving and maintaining proper physical and mental health. Getting adequate daily exercise becomes even more vital as our bodies age and break down. Additionally, our bodies are gifts from the good Lord, and they should be treated as such.

Alfredo Aliaga Burdio, from Spain, walked the 24-mile hike from rim to rim in less than a day’s time, according to the clip posted on YouTube. The clip mentions that the 20-plus mile hike took Alfredo 21 hours and 15 minutes to complete.

The video captures Alfredo finishing his world-record-setting hike, leading his crew, as they are met with cheers and applause.

“We did it!” Alfredo exclaims after completing the hike.

Later in the clip, Alfredo expressed his feelings about the hike and the difficulties of walking the Grand Canyon.

“I am happy I am here because it was not easy,” he said.

To prepare for his record-setting walk in one of the United States’ most visited national parks, Alfredo trained. The video’s description states that leading up to his walk, the 92-year-old would hike eight miles a day.

But this isn’t the first hike for Alfredo. Hiking was an activity that Alfredo enjoyed doing with his late wife. The 92-year-old mentioned that he has enjoyed hikes all over the world.

What an amazing accomplishment, Alfredo!

There are a lot of people half Alfredo’s age who would not be able to walk 24 miles in the Grand Canyon.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 “Or are you not conscious that your body is a house for the Holy Spirit which is in you and which has been given to you by God and you are not the owners of yourselves? For a payment has been made for you: let God be honored in your body.”

Little Boy Breaks Down In Tears After His Brother’s Surprising Act Of Love

One young man had his younger brother in tears after an unexpected act of kindness and love involving his birthday cake.

Siblings, especially as children, do not always get along. Everyone has their thoughts, ideas and opinions. These differences can often lead to heated arguments, extended periods of silence and avoidance and even physical altercations. Adults are generally better at handling their differences and disagreements. However, disputes between children can get very emotional very fast.

But as one video shows, one display of emotion was not the result of a fight or a spat but instead because of a birthday cake. The clip posted on YouTube shows two young men standing near a cake. The older of the two children has a knife, obviously seconds away from slicing into the desert.

Moments after the short, 1-minute and 30-second begins, text appears to set up the scenario and what viewers are witnessing.

“Brazilian tradition says the first slice of your birthday cake goes to the person you love the most,” the text reads.

The young man after cutting into the cake attempts to pick up the piece, but it falls, landing on an undisturbed part of the sweet treat. Once that runaway piece of cake finds its way to a plate, then it’s anybody’s guess about who will receive the first piece.

The older brother sets the piece of cake down in front of the young man, exclaiming, “Antonio,” as he does.

Immediately after the older brother announces that his younger sibling gets the first piece, the tears begin flowing. The younger brother, Antonio, cannot contain the emotion. He is overcome with joy, happiness and probably a little surprise that his older brother, someone he looks up to, would select him.

The younger brother turns to his older brother, and they share a warm, loving embrace.

What a sweet and simple act that meant so much to the little guy.

High School Custodian Gives God The Glory When Recognized For His Effort And Kindness

“Captain” Ray Bethea has worked at Community High School in Swannanoa, North Carolina for over a decade and is in for a big surprise!

Good Morning America came to the school to honor him. Ike Ejiochi, one of the GMA hosts opened the door to a meeting Ray was attending. He pulls him out of the meeting and Ike talks to Ray, saying, “Everyone says that you help make this building feel so much more than a school.” He then walks Ray into the gym where many people are standing and holding signs of love.

Ike comments that here in the gym are students, colleagues, and even his wife. All there to let him know how much they love and appreciate him.

The video goes on to talk about how Ray is a “Ray of Sunshine” to the high school and the people he sees each day. They started calling him “Captain Ray” after he bought a captain’s hat and started wearing it every day.

The video then shows different students and other adults who have been touched by Ray’s kindness. Lyric, a student, says “If you’re feeling down and need somebody to talk to, Mr. Ray is definitely the person to go to.” The video goes on to share how Mr. Ray helps students and faculty alike, from helping a new young girl who had just lost her father, to a teacher who needed a little extra support.

Mr. Ray is truly there for the students and faculty. We go back to the gym where the principal gives some words of kindness about him. Ike then asks an important question about where his spirit and energy come from.

Ray responds, “Well I just have to give God the glory because again that’s where it started for me.” Ray tears up a bit and the crowd cheers for him again. Then, GMA lets Ray know that they are sending him and his wife to Las Vegas to see Lionel Richie with a two-night stay at Cesar’s Palace.

From the whole video you can tell how much Ray is appreciated and giving the glory to God makes this story one of the best. Ray is truly showing the spirit of God to those around them and everyone is better for it.

“I have glorified you on the earth: I have finished the work which you gave me to do.” - John 17:4

Collection of Tear-Jerking Stories Of Children Being Adopted

This video is a compilation of several different adoption stories. And they are all so sweet!

We first get to see Kaila, a two-year-old girl who was brought in after being abused. Officer Brian Zach sat with her while waiting for social services and the two started to bond. Two years later he and his wife adopted her after becoming her placement home soon after she was brought in. What a heartwarming story!

In the next short clip, we go to 2019 where Michel Clark Jr’s kindergarten class attended his adoption hearing. He was being adopted by his foster parents. What a special time for all of them.

We then see Nike Garza, who was in foster care for 1,553 days. He was being adopted by David and Christy Schwarz in 2020 and over 300 people came to the courtroom to support him. That is great to see!

In 2016, Danielle Ross was adopted and Disney princesses came to court to see her. The judge even got in on it too. What a special day for Danielle.

Also in 2016, we saw Landon Rice open up a present. Inside was a framed piece of paper. Landon starts to cry and hugs his adopted father. The paper was his “Certificate of Adoption.” He was being adopted by his mother’s husband who had been in his life since he was five months old.

To end these clips we go to 2019, when Joseph and Shanna Weight adopted four-month-old Onni. They had adopted her brother Milo six years before. Shanna goes on to tell the story of how they adopted Milo, had their biological son Nash, and then Onni.

All of these stories are so heartwarming and give you hope that people out there really do have loving hearts.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Professional Ballet Company Helps Seniors Stay Active With Free Classes

A group of professional and classically trained ballet dancers, the Oklahoma City Ballet, helps seniors maintain an active lifestyle by offering free classes.

Eating right and getting plenty of sleep are two things all medical professionals stress when it comes to getting and remaining healthy. In addition to consuming a healthy diet and getting those eight hours every night, exercise is another vital component of a healthy lifestyle.

Exercise, moving and using one’s muscles daily is necessary for everyone, but it becomes even more critical as the body ages. The Oklahoma City Ballet understands the importance of movement. That is why it offers free ballet and dance classes for seniors and those with Parkinson’s disease.

Jo Lynne Jones, the organization's executive director, says helping their community is a central tenet of The Oklahoma Ballet Company.

“Providing dance for Parkinson’s and our Golden Swans programs are just at the core of what we believe we should do as a ballet organization,” she said.

Ballet, according to Jo Lynne, makes for a great workout. It helps with stretching and balance.

The ballet company’s Golden Swans program is for seniors of experience levels. Those who have never danced will still find the class beneficial and will be able to keep up.

“The best thing about the class is it doesn’t matter if you’ve danced before or if you’ve never danced at all, the class is designed to take care of everybody,” Robin Martin, one of the program’s participants, said.

Several men are involved in the program. They mentioned enjoying themselves and even feeling better after participating in a class.

“I can say that when I walk out of this class, I feel better,” Randy Keller, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, said.

Exercise and getting up and moving around, no matter your age or stage in life, is good for the body, mind and soul. Who doesn’t feel better after a nice walk or a workout?

1 Timothy 4:8 “For the training of the body is of profit for a little, but religion is of profit in every way, giving hope for the life which now is, and for that which is to come.”

Mom’s Hysterical News Report Following Son’s Trip To Dentist

One mother, a reporter for an Indianapolis television station, used her journalistic skills to create a hilarious report after her son’s dentist appointment.

Remaining and staying healthy requires regular dental checkups, including dental appointments. No one enjoys a trip to the dentist. Even if you have no cavities or any other dental issues, paying someone to poke and prod around in your mouth with sharp, pointy objects is never a fun experience.

Mothers understand the importance of taking their children to see a dentist regularly. That’s why mother and reporter Kayla Sullivan took her son to the dentist. But given her profession, she decided to use skills to create a hilarious before and after report of taking her son to see the dentist.

While holding a still-packaged toothbrush, substituting it as her microphone, Kayla gave viewers on Instagram an update on the contentious situation.

“The only thing more terrifying than your own dentist appointment is the one for your young child,” Kayla said. “I can tell you if my son has a cavity today, I will feel responsible and be overcome with mom guilt.”

She says she will feel overwhelming guilt despite working with her son diligently on his oral and dental health.

Seconds into the report, Kayla cuts to her son in the dentist’s chair being examined by the medical professional. Next, the young man waits patiently for his teeth x-ray.

The tension is palpable and could be cut with a knife as Kayla keeps her audience waiting on pins and needles for the final report.

Luckily, Kayla and her son are relieved. Everything is OK, no cavities and no mom guilt.

“This just in: no cavities,” Kayla says with excitement and relief.

However, she understands that she still has her work cut out for her. Keeping her son’s teeth pearly white will get no easier as Easter swiftly approaches.

“Our thoughts and prayers are for the Easter Bunny to remember this stress and bring less sticky, healthier treats in the spring,” she said.

Powerful Video Shows How Jesus Christ Still Changes Hearts And Lives

One video makes it abundantly clear how the power of Jesus Christ still can and does change hearts, minds and lives today.

This lost and broken world is full of people who are hurting, struggling and simply trying to survive by any means. Many are in a position where they see no end to their hopeless situation. They can see no end to their struggle, hurt and heartache.

But, thankfully, there is one who provides the healing and comfort that so many desperately crave and desire. Jesus Christ has a message of love and hope that can transform hearts and lives. He can provide a peace that surpasses all understanding.

A video posted on YouTube features a wide and varied collection of people who demonstrate that Jesus Christ is still fully capable of performing life-changing and saving miracles today. Using black-and-white images, the ad quickly tells a handful of stories of several people who were lost and living in sin but turned from their ways after finding Jesus Christ.

Some of the people included in the minute-long clip are a former witch, someone who worked closely with noted atheist Richard Dawkins, a former KKK member, a former drug addict, a former lesbian activist and a former abolitionist. But they have since changed their ways after finding Jesus Christ and turning their lives over to Him.

The people in the ad are individuals most people, including many Christians, would have written off as being past the point of no return. But praise God, there is none too far gone for Jesus Christ. His love and forgiveness know no limits or restrictions.

The ad ends by stating that He doesn't just "get us," but saves and transforms us.

Christ willingly went to the cross, bled and died for all, even for the worst of sinners. The power of Jesus Christ is still saving and changing lives today. This ad is an excellent example of the transformational nature of Christ’s love and forgiveness.

1 Timothy 1:15-16 “It is a true saying, in which all may put their faith, that Christ Jesus came into the world to give salvation to sinners, of whom I am the chief: but for this reason, I was given mercy, so that in me, the chief of sinners, Jesus Christ might make clear all his mercy, as an example to those who in the future would have faith in him to eternal life.”

Hero Family Dog Saves Young Man During House Fire

One dog is a hero after the lovable and loyal pooch alerted and saved a young man during a house fire in Florida on New Year’s Eve.

Animals are beings created, formed and placed on Earth by the same God who hung the sun, moon and stars in place. All animals are deserving of kindness, respect and love. But dogs hold a very special place in the hearts of most pet owners and animal lovers.

One dog, Macho, showed, with his heroic actions, exactly why dogs are beloved and revered by so many. In what is being described as a miracle, Macho, on New Year’s Eve, understood that something was not right, according to the video posted on YouTube.

Macho, who does not even bark at night, barked and nipped at the young man, who was asleep, about the impending danger.

“He just kept going at him, and then he just gave him a nip, a couple of them, and wake him up,” Nicole Evans, the teenager’s mother, and Macho’s owner, said. “And Griffin was like, ‘Hey, what’s happening?’ And as soon as he turned around, there was no doubt. He had to go. He had to go quickly.”

Sadly, Nicole’s home is a total loss because of the fire. However, despite the horrible incident, Nicole understands what is truly important in life.

“All those things are just things,” Nicole said. “And they’re our things, and some of those things do matter, they do. But in the end, it’s all replaceable. He’s not replaceable (Griffin). He’s not replaceable (Macho).”

Also, Nicole added that since losing her home, she has received unbelievable kindness from those around her. She stated that her friends and loved ones in the community have “stepped up beyond what any person could ever imagine that people would do for them.”

Praise God that Macho kept that terrible becoming much worse. And God bless those people showing that family love, care and kindness in their time of need.

Genesis 1:21 “And God created the great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”
