Gavin MacKenzie is hired to restore the ancient Castle of Braigh. He discovers a hidden village of outcasts that have created their own private sanctuary from the world. Among them is Serena Boyd, a mysterious and comely lass who captures Gavin’s heart. The villagers have an intriguing secret, while Serena harbors a deadly past that could destroy her future. When a fierce enemy launches an attack against them, greed leads to bitter betrayal. A dramatic visual about fleeing from sin. My one valiant but rather disappointing attempt at something artsy and serious. If anyone wants to re-score or re-cut this in a way that makes it less cheesy and laughable, please let me know!! www.righteousinsanity.com
Daily Pulse: John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty."
Daily Pulse: Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Where is Christ in the midst of our suffering? Why doesn't God heal us when we ask? Is God really good? These are questions that I have wrestled with as a Christian walking with cerebral palsy. This interview was conducted October 2010 at Church of the Open Door, Maple Grove, MN. Associate Senior Pastor Steve Wiens had me (Jenny Hill) share about my walk with the Lord and with CP. The central premise of the sermon is that character is primarily formed in us through suffering. You can read more on my blog at: https://jwalkinguphill.blogspot.com/
GOD KNOWS He knows the beats of my heart The number of my days My life is His My departure He will oversee Though my body is weary And heaviness weighs me down He comforts me in love And though I am in pain He soothes me in grace In the presence of enemies He overshadows me His every word is truth And He will raise me up forever
No one is "good". All have sinned and fallen short of God's glory, separated from His love. Sin must be dealt with by Grace which is free and salvation, by belief in Jesus Christ through faith God gives.
Brokenness is something that all of us face at a point in our lives. It can tear us apart but it can also help us. By understanding the pains of brokenness at a physical, emotional, and spiritual level, we learn more about ourselves and how such circumstances affect our well-being. In turn, these experiences of brokenness can help strengthen us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. And it's through our own experiences of brokenness that helps us better relate to others who may be experiencing it. And by caring for that person who is in distress, we help piece back together their life that was shattered by brokenness.
