This Eating Challenge was Supposed to Be a Competition, but It was Anything but

This eating challenge was supposed to be a competition, but it was anything but. The woman created an event intended to show who was the quickest and most efficient eater between her and her golden retriever. Watch the short, but sweet and hilarious clip to see how the challenge went and who came out on top.

ESPN bills itself as being the worldwide leader in sports coverage. For 24 hours a day, seven days a week, that channel and its many others show nothing but sports-related content. Some may argue that having 24-hour channels of anything is a bad idea because then they stretch themselves to fill airtime. Anything and everything becomes a hotly debated topic and is eventually talked about to death.

While ESPN may say it is the worldwide leader in sports coverage, some may dispute that claim. I know I’ve personally seen billiards, poker, and other events that some would likely question as legitimate sports. Additionally, ESPN also broadcasts eating competitions, such as the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Eating a hot dog is certainly not a sport. If that were the case, every American would be an athlete, and we know that is not true.

Anyway, a woman challenged her golden retriever to a food-eating contest, as the clip posted on YouTube shows. The pup was obviously eager and ready to go and even got a head start on the competition, gobbling up the first morsel set in front of it before it was go-time.

However, in the end, while it was a challenge, there was no competition. The dog came out on top easily and even helped her finish off some of her pieces of food. When it comes to animals and food, humans really don’t stand a chance. We are likely to lose every time.

Two Curious Fawns, One Very Alarmed Cat

The neighborhood I live in has many deer, and they are incredibly nonplussed by humans or our pets. One morning a couple fawns saw my cat Ganesha and bounced toward him to play...but he came running back to me yelling about how these big cats were in his yard.

I Think My Dog Might Be an Undercover Cat

Molly cleans her face like a cat even though she's actually a dog (breed mix is half maltese and half Sophia Petrillo from the Golden Girls). She is 14 years old, and we think she might be an undercover cat.

Mini Goldendoodle Zoomies Along Plowed Path

My husband had just finished snow plowing a path through our backyard, something we always do after big snowstorms so our dog can run outside. Once he was done, our mini Goldendoodle, Barkley, took off running down the path. When Barkley reached a turn, he suddenly slid off into the deep snow and briefly disappeared, then popped right back up and kept running like nothing happened. The whole moment was lighthearted and funny, and Barkley was completely fine. Credit: Sheila Dioda

Squirrels Navigate Building Walls in Zhejiang, China

@Sōngshǔzhǔbāo shared a video showing squirrels climbing the walls of a building. In the video, two squirrels are already scaling the exterior walls, moving upward along the surface. A third squirrel is first seen climbing a nearby tree before leaping across and jumping onto the building wall, then following the other two as they continue climbing. The video captures the agile movements of the squirrels as they navigate the urban environment.

An Unexpected Passenger Leaves a Starbucks Employee Totally Stunned

An unexpected passenger left a Starbucks employee totally stunned. The look on the woman’s face when she realized what was in the vehicle says it all. Watch the short but hysterical clip to see the young woman’s reaction and the unexpected passenger who elicited such a response.

People absolutely love animals, most people anyway. I’m sure some individuals might publicly confess to stating their dislike of those cute, furry and four-legged creatures. I’m not sure I know anyone like that, and you might not either, but I’m almost positive those individuals do exist.

Anyway, pet owners – past and present – adore their animals. It quickly gets to the point that doing anything without them feels downright wrong. After they enter our lives and homes, they become full-fledged family members in no time at all. We take them here and there, give them this and that. Why? Well, because we love them. It’s as simple as that.

In a clip posted on YouTube, one man took his massive animal pal, a bull, through a Starbucks drive-thru. Now, when was the last time you remember seeing a bull in a drive-thru? Sure, people may take their dogs or even their cats to the popular drink vendor, but a bull? That’s pretty unheard of, or at least I’ve never heard of anyone doing that.

So, knowing that seeing a bull in a Starbucks drive-thru is an unusual sight, it makes perfect sense why the young woman in the video reacted as she did. It’s safe to say that any one of us would have responded similarly. Your eyes would widen, and your jaw would drop, too, if you looked out the window and saw a bull in an SUV.

Regardless, her response and how, after the initial shock, she basically rolled with it. It just goes to show that you never know what the day will bring.
