Important questions of life are at times not asked or even contemplated. They, however, give direction and guidance for our lives. 1. From whence do I come? (origins) 2. To where am I going? (destiny) 3. Why am I here? (significance) Thoughts about question #3 by missionary Bishop Roy E Olsen
These are times of trial and life is not "small potatoes" according to The Message Bible. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 The Message (MSG) 16-18 So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.

WYWS stands for While You Were Sleeping, “written out of my anguish over gang/gun violence in Chicago. In the age of ‘Woke’, there are many who are still asleep.” The title song addresses two camps: the gang member enthralled in Chicago violence, asleep to his own mortality and eternal destination, and the church: God’s revelation of Christ to a dying world by way of gospel proclamation. (Matthew 28:19-20 / Ephesians 5:13-14)

We asked a handful of mothers to describe themselves during this interesting time that we live. These amazing moms were very transparent with the difficulties that they face as being a mom. Then we surprised these moms with showing them what their children had to say about their moms during these times...it was very special. Happy Mother's Day!
