At The Pas Living Water Apostolic Fellowship for the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, Christmas Eve 2015 in The Pas, Manitoba, Canada. The question to myself from last year? Is it possible for a brass instrument to be like Marc Martel? Well, the answer is its plausible but it has to be done by somebody who has great endurance. I don't recall seeing this being attempted as a cover by a brass player likely because of the key (its not very friendly) let alone of the high tessitura of it. I arranged it like I would have 3 euphonium players playing it. So you have myself playing my euphonium, 2 midi euphoniums (which take over melody in the bridge section) and piano. When my husband suggested that I write a Christmas song, I prayed that night, and the very next morning in the shower this song came to me like a flood with words and music. I quickly wrote them down and recorded the tune in my Zoom and then worked on putting it all together. We believe this song is meant for someone struggling this Christmas. Not everyone gets presents or Christmas trees, or even has family to celebrate with. What God wants you to know is that He has a gift for you of love, joy, peace and eternal life if you would reach out to Him this season and ask Him for help, he will meet you where you are at.
