Heartwarming Moment Son Sings To 98-Year-Old Father

This is one of the most delightful stories going viral and you don’t want to miss it. It’s a heartwarming moment when a son sings to his 98-year-old father.

During the height of the pandemic, the elderly were more isolated than most because it was too dangerous to be in contact with the general public. Oftentimes, families would go months without seeing each other. And this man by the name of John also went months with limited contact too.

But his family stopped in to see John and spend some precious quality time together. And what would be more precious than not only having your son visit but having your son sing to you as well!

In this video, you can see John is frail but well-loved by his family. As the camera zooms in to capture the expression of joy on his face, you can hear John’s son John Junior singing him an old melody that happens to be John’s favorite. It’s an old Scottish traditional song that tells the story of a man who fell in love but Maggie passed away. Even though the singer is now entering his older years, he often thinks of Maggie and talks to her.

The haunting love song is one John Jr knows by heart as he sings it perfectly with ease as he sits relaxed on the couch while his father listens. I love the joyful smile that erupts on John’s face as he listens to his son. Moments like this as we age are precious.

We live such busy lives and sometimes we forget that spending time together is one of the most precious gifts God has given us. We hope you were just as delighted as John was to hear his song sing.

2 Corinthians 6:18 "And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty."

His Daughters Signed Him Up, Now This Singer Has The Audience In Tears With 'Daddy's Little Girl'

This is an absolutely moving audition. His daughters signed him up, now this singer has the audience in tears with 'Daddy's Little Girl.'

At the start of this video, two little girls in matching outfits come out on stage with their grandmother. They are only ages 3 and 4. There are clips of the father sitting with the mother in the audience.

The judges ask why they are here and one little girl says, “To surprise our dad.” The grandmother then explains that they are surprising their dad Nick to come up and sing for them because he always sings for his daughters.

Nick sits in his seat and says, “Unbelievable.” He gets up and goes down as the crowd cheers. He goes up and kisses his daughters. His mom says that Nick said he would never do it, so they are making him do it. The judges encourage him to grab a glass of water and come back.

Nick comes back out with his guitar and he plays a beautiful song and sings. Nick sings about his daughters as they smile in the audience. The host and judges become emotional listening to his performance.

This father sings with such authenticity and depth. He is easy to listen to and does a fantastic job portraying his heart through the song. The audience and judges stand and cheer. Nick gives a thumbs up to his girls.

The judges say that it was sweet, he has a nice voice, and that his performance was moving. The judges all give him yes.

The love that this father has for his children is only a small glimpse of our Heavenly Father’s love for us. We are the apple of God’s eye and His own special possession. He sings over us. We can be reminded in this video of His great love that He lavishes on us.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." 1 John 3:1

How it All Began Part 4

This video provides a Biblical teaching series of the book of Genesis. Part 4 takes th listener in depth of the elements of this book from Creation throughout the book.

Blind Singer Earns Standing Ovation With Sarah McLachlan's 'Angel'

Sarah Simone knows what it means to be courageous in life. Born blind, she decided not to let this disability get in her way. In fact, when life did present challenges, Simone would sing.

Gifted with a beautiful angelic voice, she decided to try out for Canada’s ‘Got Talent.’ And you won’t believe the reaction, this blind singer earns a standing ovation with Sarah McLachlan’s ‘Angel.’

Sarah also happens to be a mom of two and more than anything in life, they are her whole world. But she also wants to make them proud. Before she became a mom, Simone had performed but she decided to put this dream on hold as she settled into the daily life of motherhood.

She said, “Becoming a mom, I’ve learned I’m a really strong woman.” She also added, she wanted to try out for Canada’s ‘Got Talent’ because she wants her kids to be able to go to school the next day and say, “Did you see that woman who's singing? She’s blind and she’s my mom.”

When it was time for Simone to perform, she did not disappoint. As she hit every note of Sarah McLachlan’s song, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. Not only did she stun the audience and the judges, she earned a standing ovation.

There is no doubt she made her family proud and secured her spot in the competition. We can thank God for the good gifts he gives us that provide hope, courage, and confidence no matter the challenges we face in life. We can’t wait to hear this incredible mom perform again!

Matthew 7:11 “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”

John Lennon's Son Sings 'Imagine' For Ukraine

We all long for peace. We long for families to be together and safe, especially with the horrific atrocities of the senseless war unfolding in Ukraine. All of us want to do something to stand with those who have no peace and this performance says it all. John Lennon’s son sings, ‘Imagine’ for Ukraine and you don’t want to miss this incredible performance.

His son Julian inherited his father’s gift of singing. As an artist, he said he felt compelled to support Ukraine in some sort of meaningful way. He wrote, “The War on Ukraine is an unimaginable tragedy. As a human, and as an artist, I felt compelled to respond in the most significant way I could. So today, for the first time ever, I publicly performed my Dad’s song, IMAGINE.”

The song Imagine was one of the best songs written and performed in John Lennon’s career.  It was released in the 1970s and the lyrics reflect our desire for a world without war, without heartache, or pain. We know once Jesus comes back for his church, we will have a world without death, fear, or tears. And Julian’s performance echoes our heart's desires.

Julian added, “Because within this song, we’re transported to a space, where love and togetherness become our reality, if but for a moment in time.”

With 73,000 views and counting, Julian’s performance to stand up for Ukraine is bringing us all hope and comfort that the war will end.

One viewer posted, “This was beyond beautiful and gave me chills. “Imagine” is, in my opinion, the world’s most “needed” song in existence. No other song can do what “Imagine” does for those who listen during times of great tragedy. I know people often wish John was here to inspire hope during such times. Well, this performance did exactly that. The world needs “Imagine” now more than ever, and this was the ONLY way it could have been done justice.”

Another viewer added how much Julian is like his father, John. “He sounds and looks so much like his Dad. A beautiful song that the world needed then and needs now.”

We hope this never done before performance lightens the heavy burdens in your heart and brings hope that one day we can imagine a world without war.

Revelations 21:4 “He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.”

'Never Enough' Singer Lived In The Shadows, Now She's A Golden Buzzer Winner

This is a breathtaking video of a performance unlike any other. 'Never Enough' Singer lived in the shadows, now she's a golden buzzer winner.

Simon asks Loren Allred why she has chosen to come to Britain’s Got Talent if she is from Brooklyn, New York. She says, “Most of my favorite singers are from the UK, so I thought I would come pay a visit to you guys.” The crowd cheers.

When Simon asks her to share a little bit about herself, she says that she thinks a lot of them know her voice but not her face. She sang the song “Never Enough” from the Greatest Showman. The judges and audience are in total shock.

After all of this time singing behind the scenes, Loren is singing “Never Enough” live. As she begins, you can tell this is a nerve-wracking moment for her, but as the song goes on she completely blossoms and blows everyone away.

Her voice is incredible, it is rich, unique, and powerful. She has such a beautiful presence on stage. She hits unexpected notes that will shock you. When she finishes everyone stands and cheers and she gets the golden buzzer.

The judges share that they are shaking with excitement, it feels to them like a superstar has arrived, and that it was one of the most incredible auditions they have ever experienced.

This underdog story reminds us that our potential with God is endless. He has gifted us and created us for His glory and He is the one who gives us our “big breaks.” Whenever a door is opened before us, we can remember to always point to the Lord for His name’s sake. Our lives have such amazing purposes because of our Savior.

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26

Sailor Wrote Song For His Love And Decades Later His Grandson Brings It Back To Life

Steve Hartman introduces us to a sailor, the song he wrote long ago for his love, and the grandson who brought that love song to life decades after it was written! This is a story that will restore your belief in love and romance!

Meet Mort and Susan Block, married for 61 years and so young-looking, they must have married at age five! Mort and Susan of Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, shared a first date before Mort went off to sea, a sailor stationed on the destroyer “Hazelwood.”

Mort describes how he’d fallen hard for Susan. Susan, on the other hand, didn’t see the relationship lasting. Mort missed Susan terribly and wrote a song for her while aboard the warship. He titled his song “My Love.” That song must have struck a chord in Susan’s heart because they eventually married. But, the song landed in a drawer for several decades.

Mort explains that years after writing the song for Susan, their grandson Matt found the sheet music and was intrigued. Matt works in music, and, when he shared the song with peers, they were as excited as he had been upon discovering it. With the help of some talented musicians, the song was recorded!

“My Love” is reminiscent of a bygone era, but it resonated with today’s listeners, having been played over a million times on social media. As the video continues, “My Love” plays behind glimpses of the early days of Mort and Susan’s romance.

Mort was thrilled that his song was so well received, and, now, an LP with his song and his face will be released in Fall 2022. The album is entitled Strange Harbor.

Mort and Susan look to be going strong, a beautiful couple in the 60’s and a beautiful pair 60 years later. Unions like theirs are special examples—not only to those who love them, but to those who get to love them from a distance!

“Behold, you are fair, my love! Behold, you are fair! You have dove’s eyes behind your veil. Your hair is like a flock of goats, Going down from Mount Gilead.” Song of Solomon 4:1

Inspiring Mother Breaks Down After Earning Golden Buzzer With Celine Dion Hit

During an audition for Canada’s Got Talent, this inspiring mother breaks down after earning a golden buzzer with Celine Dion's hit.

Jeanick Fournier shows us that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. This 49-year-old palliative care worker and mother of two children who have Down Syndrome brought down the house with her incredible rendition of Celine Dion’s hit, “I Surrender.”

The song, “I Surrender” is a chart-topping hit that was released in the early 2000s. It’s a love song told from the perspective of a woman who cannot live without the love of her life.

There's so much life I've left to live
And this fire's burning still
When I watch you look at me

The lyrics are full of passion for what it is like to love and be deeply loved by someone.

Jeanick’s jaw-dropping performance is full of emotions as she hits every high octave with grace and poise. She may have even given Celine Dion a run for her money! What is even more inspiring after we learn she learned to speak English by watching many of the great performers of our day like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Barbra Streisand. Her singing career began when she was seven years old with a nun. She would also be found singing for her parents when all she had for an audience was her parents and a hairbrush for a mic.

After she brought down the house with her performance, the judges had to tell her just how incredible she was.

“Wow. Let me just say that this is what this show is about. You have so much talent.” Another judge added, “You are an angel. There aren't a lot of human beings like you and then you open your mouth and you sing like an Angel. And it came from another world.”

Since her performance first aired, it has gone viral with over a million views, and those who have witnessed her performance had a lot to say. One viewer commented, “First she is an amazing human being, an inspiring woman. Her choice to adopt two kids with Down Syndrome, her being grateful for the joy they give her and for what she learns from them, her open heart and huge authentic smile, her personality, an absolutely beautiful person.”

And we couldn’t agree more. We hope this performance and the story behind Jeanick’s rise to fame puts a smile on your face and warm your heart. We need more incredible, selfless human beings like Jeanick! Perhaps she truly is an angel living on Earth.

Psalms 103:20 “Bless the Lord, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word!”

She Was Nearly Abducted While Out On A Run, But God Pulled Her Through The Darkness

Sarah Taylor was ready to tackle the next phase of her life. She moved to a new town to start her career as a sports reporter. She decided she would go for a run one afternoon when she soon found herself in the fight of her life. She was nearly abducted while out on a run, but God pulled her through the darkness of human trafficking.

As a single woman living alone in a new city, Sarah knew she needed to take safety precautions. Instead of going for a run at night, she opted to go for a run at noon. Instead of jogging in isolated places, she assumed running in a neighborhood near a busy street would be wiser.

She did all the right things to help keep her safe. As she was running up a hill, she noticed a man who seemed to be busy with his car. When Sarah jogged by, she noticed he had his car door open and was bending down on the ground. She also noticed he had something in his hand. Thinking nothing of it, she jogged past him. “Before I knew it, he had grabbed me. I was so shocked, I almost thought it was a joke.”

Suddenly, Sarah found herself in immense pain. She thought this man had stabbed her. Instead, her abductor used a taser. At that moment, Sarah remembered an interview about another woman who had been in a similar situation of being abducted. She remembers the woman stating, “If I get into this car, I am going to die.” As this interview came to mind, Sarah knew she was in the fight of her life as the man continued to assault Sarah and tried to shove her into the back of his car. Sarah knew she needed to fight with all of her strength and might to stay alive.

“I kicked and punched. I don’t really even remember how I fought but I fought,” she said through tears. Despite being tased over and over, Sarah wiggled out of his hold. He lunged for her and tried to tase her again. But through God’s grace and power, Sarah fought free.

Suddenly, a car appeared and a young woman stopped and told her to get in the car. Sarah soon learned this young woman who saved her life was also named Sarah. The young woman’s sudden appearance and the fact she had the same name gave Sarah clarity. She realized God had sent her an angel to save her life.

Once Sarah was safely at home, she immediately contacted law enforcement and began working with a detective to find the man who tried to abduct her. The next day she returned to the torturous scene of the crime. She identified the car and that led detectives to arrest the man who had tried to kidnap her. She later learned the attempt on her life was for sex trafficking.

Sarah realized the woman who had come to save her life that day was truly an angel in disguise. God had given her a lifeline to help her escape a horrific end. And even in the days afterward, when Sarah was trying to heal from her experience, God continued to show up in small and big ways to help Sarah fight her fear from the day her life could have taken a turn for the worse.

Sarah had become truly fearful of living life. She began having nightmares and even thought she saw the man who had tried to kidnap her on her balcony. Sarah had become paralyzed by the demon of fear and genuinely began to believe everyone wanted to kill her.

One day during one of her therapy sessions, Sarah closed her eyes and began to pray. It was in that moment that Jesus whispered the most powerful words to her. “Sarah, don’t be fearful.  I will never leave you nor forsake you.” A sense of true, deep peace washed over her soul after her encounter with Jesus Christ.

As she got back to living a normal life and when she felt the darkness creeping in, she would say Jesus’ name out loud and it would destroy the fear and darkness. She decided she would no longer live a life of tremendous fear. Instead, she would cling to the hope, peace, and courage that Christ gave her.

Eventually, Sarah realized she needed to forgive the man who had torn her life apart. She thought of Jesus on the cross and knew she needed to take one more big step in the area of forgiveness.

“I think of Jesus on the cross and I think of him forgiving all these people who did him wrong. If Jesus can do that, I can forgive this person,” she said. And now Sarah is living a whole new life. She decided to use the darkness day of her life as the catalyst for something good.

She went back to school to get her master's degree in sports psychology, and she uses her mental and psychological skills to teach and coach professional athletes how to beat their own fears. When she isn’t helping athletes, she and her husband are helping to raise awareness about human trafficking.

Sarah’s story is just one of the many examples of how God rescues us from the darkest days of our lives and uses it for not only our good but for others too. Even when we can sense God or make sense of the evil that seems to prevail, God is using people like Sarah to be his hands and feet to fight for love, mercy, and justice!

“for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

Today Show Host Craig Melvin Shares How God Helps Him Through Each Moment

It is always refreshing to hear Chrisitans speak up for God on television. In this video, a Today Show host, Craig Melvin shares how God helps him through each moment.

Craig is visiting the 700 Club in this video. He is a Today Show host, has covered the entire Olympic games, and is a husband, father, and Christian. On MSNBC Craig openly asked a pastor to pray for our nation on live TV.

He says that he turns to God when he is in uncertain times. In that moment, he felt like people could use a moment with the Lord. He did not get permission with the producer, but he obeyed the Holy Spirit and asked the pastor to pray.

Craig says that he discovered that there were many stories that involved faith, but the network was not covering those. He said that he loves the stories about forgiveness and redemption. He talks about how right now he is working on the redemption story of the former Mayor of Detroit – a man who accepted Christ while in prison, becoming a faith leader in his city.

Craig talks about the difficulties of losing his family members to cancer. He says he not only turns to God only when times are tough, but practices gratitude every day. He says that in the darkness, it is easy to cling to the Lord.

Craig also shares about the book he has published on fatherhood and what he learned from his own father, Pops. He talks about his father being a functional alcoholic in South Carolina. He shared that his mom played a lot of roles because of his dad’s addiction.

He tells in the book about how he forgave his father after a lot of bitterness. Thankfully, his dad went to get help at age 68 and he has not had a sip of alcohol since. Craig says, “It’s a testament that it is never too late to turn your life around.”

Watching Craig share about his story reminds us that the Lord can use us too. No matter where we come from, if we say yes to Christ, He can invite us into the work that He is doing. We can turn to God in every moment and remember that nothing is too hard for Him.

““I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27
