Tyler Perry And Steve Harvey On The Importance Of Faith

Are you in need of some encouragement or maybe you need to be reminded why we need to continue to put prayer and faith first in our lives? You don’t want to miss this video as Tyler Perry and Steve Harvey share the importance of faith.

While we need nutrients to nourish our bodies, we need faith to nourish our hearts and soul. And sometimes we need to ensure we are surrounding ourselves with people who are deeply rooted in Christ.

Tyler shares some special advice about the people in your faith life with an analogy to trees. He says some people are like leaves, they’re only in your life for a season. Others are like branches, they’re in your life but they can’t handle too much pressure because they will bend from the weight of heavy burdens. Others are like roots, they’re good foundational people.

I think we can all agree we need more people that are rooted in the Lord in our lives.

He also shared how he came to believe God will always answer his prayers. He heard his uncle teach a sermon about asking God for a blessing. As a little boy, he knew the people on TV were real people so he asked God to have the people come out of the TV so he could take care of them.

As a little boy, Tyler thought this was an impossible prayer. A few days later, he came home to a pair of parakeet birds that talked. The owner of the birds had to move and brought the birds over for Tyler to take care of.

But from his perspective, God had answered his prayer, he was given a pair of talking birds that he could care for, and Tyler believed God would answer any prayer from that moment on.

We all come to know God and trust God differently and Tyler’s faith journey is definitely unique. We are blessed to hear his message of faith and how our mighty God uses common things around us like birds and trees to entrench our lives in trust, hope, and love.

When spiritual doubt creeps in, we can turn to God for comfort and reassurance. We hope this video lifted your heart and brightened your day.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen,” Hebrews 11:1

Great Great Grandfather Meets Baby Girl Days Before He Passes Away

There’s just something special about great grandparents and babies don’t you think? You don’t want to miss this incredibly precious moment as a great, great, grandfather meets a baby girl days before he passes away.

In this video, the family who was recently blessed with the birth of a baby girl they named Cadance gets to meet and be held by her great, great, grandfather. In a matter of seconds, this video sums up our life journey–as one person is on the threshold of leaving this world, while another has her whole life before her.

Cadance’s parents really wanted her to get to know her precious great, great grandfather because they knew his time on this earth was short and they wanted to record a video so she could have it in the years to come. Under the video, her parents wrote that he had finally awakened after being asleep for quite some time. They added, “First time she has met him. He woke up and wanted her to sit with him. It was so precious. We may not have him much longer and I want her to have something to remember him by.”

And this video is absolutely precious as she rests in his arms and looks up in admiration at her great, great grandad. In fact, it is so sweet, the video went viral with over 8,116,972 views! Hearts melted and viewers gushed online, one viewer commented, “Heart melting moment. I could feel tears in my eyes.” Another viewer added, “That is so awesome, two angels meeting on earth before one goes back to GOD.” While another posted, “What a blessing..so beautiful. “Ending with a new beginning.”

Shortly after this was posted, this precious great granddad stepped over the threshold and into Jesus’ arms. We are so thankful for the time he had with Cadance and we hope she will appreciate this video as much as we did.

Big Dog Rescues Puppy Seconds Before Car Nearly Hits It

This is a shocking clip of a heroic moment in an everyday driveway. A big dog rescues a puppy seconds before a car nearly hits it.

As a man plays fetch with multiple dogs in his driveway, everything appears alright. The man and his pooches are playful and happy. Then, suddenly, a few moments later, there is a clip of the smallest puppy walking by himself on the snow.

A blue car quickly pulls backward out of the garage and almost hits the puppy. Out of nowhere a heroic move appears, a bigger dog runs and picks up the puppy in his mouth. The big dog saves the puppy’s life. He gets the pup out of the way just in time.

In the video clip, the owner says that she thought she hit her puppy and came back to return and check on her pet. The big dog and the puppy run to the woman and she holds the puppy in her arms with great relief.

Watching this moment of the older dog risking his life for the puppy reminds us of the great lengths that Jesus went to save us from our sins. We were helpless and eternal death was upon us, however, Christ came and took our place and died for our sins so that we might have eternal life.

While you view this moment of rescue from one dog to another, may it remind you of your helpless state and how Jesus has rescued you from the dominion of darkness.

“For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:13-14

Substitute Teacher Saves Student Choking On A Corndog

This life-saving moment was unbelievably caught on video! A substitute teacher saves a student choking on a corndog in the middle of lunch hour in a busy lunchroom.

For those of us who know and love God, we know he orchestrates every one of our days of life before one of them ever comes to be. He is the author and perfecter of our lives and he works all things together for our good.

And this was certainly the case for Sadie Carwyle, a substitute teacher who happened to be in the right moment and at the right time to save the life of student Ryan Buckner. He was busy eating a classic school lunch favorite–a corn dog as he was busy chatting with his friends when a chunk became lodged in his throat.

Unable to breathe or dislodge it himself, Sadie noticed right away his face was discolored from the lack of oxygen. She also saw the panic written all over Ryan’s face. Sadie said she knew instantly what was happening and jumped into action. She quickly walked over to Ryan and turned him around in order to properly position him for the Heimlich maneuver.

It took eight attempts before the corndog was finally dislodged from his throat. Sadie says she saw the color come back to his face and that’s when she knew everything was going to be okay. And perhaps, this detail isn’t critical but can we all just be impressed for a moment because Sadie not only saved this teen’s life but she did it in heels.

Sadie can be seen wearing stylish booties and perhaps the extra height from the shoes helped give her a slight edge when performing the life-saving Heimlich maneuver.

We can thank God for Sadie’s life-saving and stylish skill set and for placing her to work at the school on that very critical day.

“And in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them,” Psalm 139:16

Cellist Plays Haunting Tune On Damaged Streets In Ukraine

Check out this incredibly resilient musician. This cellist plays a haunting tune on the damaged streets in Ukraine.

He sits in a chair in the middle of empty streets that tell the horrors of war. The once vibrant city that was full of life is now a shell of what it once was.  As he plays the tune created by Bach via the Cello in C five minor, the classic world-renowned piece fills the warzone. The only other sound to be heard is the wind with the expectation of a passing car.

Underneath the video, the cellist by the name of Akustikos Art Group writes, “We've all been at war for a month now. War is terrible, but we must not be afraid because the truth is on our side, and each of us can help in this struggle, in his own place. And it is especially important who is next to you.” He adds his gratitude and wrote,  “I hug and thank those close people who made our project possible, Anna Kolomiytseva, Oleksandr Osipov Photography, God bless you!”

We pray that those who have been affected by this war are blessed in immeasurable and in innumerable ways by our mighty God who has the power to protect, comfort, and keep the Ukrainians still living in the war zone safe. The video that was recently posted has already garnered over 4,000 views with many viewers leaving comments for God to continue to bless the Ukrainians.

One viewer wrote, “Music is the refuge of the soul, both can’t be destroyed, a cello is more powerful than a machine gun … keep playing my brave friend … you inspire and Bach redeems…” Another wrote, “Stay strong and thank you for sharing your courage. I can't imagine what you all are going through.” However, most of the comments asked for God to bless them and keep them safe.

Their plight reminds us that no matter what tragedy or dark valley we walk through, the Lord is our mighty helper. And because he is on our side, we are reminded we are mere mortals and God is on our side.

Let us pray for the Ukrainians and let us pray for God to end the war. We hope you enjoyed this hauntingly beautiful and class piece.

“So we can confidently say, “‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’” Hebrews 13:6

Nurse Adopts Cancer Patient's Son After Mother Passes Away

One angel nurse adopts a cancer patient’s son after she passes away. This is one story that will bring tears to your eyes!

Tricia Somers knew something was special about her nurse Tricia Seaman as soon as she met her. She even swore that she had met an angel.

"Before she even said anything, I just felt comfort. It was almost like somebody just put a warm blanket on me," shared Tricia Somers eight years ago during an interview. "I've never felt anything like that before or any other connection with anybody else."

Tricia Somers was a single mom to her 8-year-old boy, Wesley, when she found out her cancer was terminal.

"What do you say to somebody?" said Tricia Seaman about Tricia Somers’s diagnosis. "She's 45 years old. So, I just gave her a hug and she said, 'I have something that I need to ask you.'"

That’s when Tricia Somers asked her nurse, "Can you take my son? Will you raise him if I die?"

And even though these two women were basically strangers, Tricia Seaman and her husband agreed that they would take care of Wesley after his mother passed.

That was eight years ago. Now, Wesley is a 16-year-old with his learner’s permit. And he is so grateful for the decision that his mom made before she died and to the Seamans for taking him in.

"I think it was the only thing she could think to do, really. And I'm thankful everyday that she made that decision," Wesley said.

Wesley still gets little gifts from his mother that she bought for him before she passed in order for him to open them as he grew up. His most recent gift from her was a key chain, for him to use when he started driving.

And as much as Wesley is thankful to have Tricia Seaman as his guardian, she is just as honored to be the one helping to raise him now.

"He's exceptional. But the most important thing is he just has such a kind and loving heart," Tricia Seaman said.

What an incredible story! May God continue to bless Wesley and Tricia and the sweet relationship that they have!

Jay Copeland Left Grad School For Idol And The Risk Paid Off Big Time

Would you risk dropping out of school for a once-in-a-lifetime audition that may or may not pay off?

One thing is for sure, this young man put his faith and trust in believing God has a bigger purpose for him. Jay Copeland left Grad school for American Idol, and the risk paid off big time!

Jay was told he couldn’t have his cake and eat it too. He had entered a graduate program for the arts but he was told he would have to choose between acting and music.

He told Katy Perry, “I don't know if I made the right decision or the wrong decision, but I do know that I made the best decision for myself.”

Jay had a hard decision to make. Instead of putting his faith in his education, he let his faith rest in knowing God had a bigger purpose. He then dropped out of the program for a chance to audition on the 20th season of American Idol. And his well-trained, harmonious voice delivered a pitch-perfect performance of the song, “Sign, Sealed, Delivered,” by Stevie Wonder.

Jay’s stunning performance was given a standing ovation by all three judges. Katy then stated, “You don’t need them, we need you.” Judge Lionel Richie added, “Let me tell you, I have been alive a very long time and you just don't jump on a Stevie Wonder song. You owned it and on top of that you were having so much fun.”

Katy then reveals that because it is the 20th year of American Idol, it’s the show’s “Platinum Year.” In celebration of its platinum year, one special performer from each city will be chosen to receive a platinum ticket which means the performer will get to skip one round of competing. The best part was when Katy awarded Jay with this special honor!

We absolutely will be sitting on the edge of our seats as we watch Jay compete and perform. We have faith and absolutely trust that God is Authoring every part of Jay’s journey and we can’t wait to watch it all unfold!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5

'Like My Father' Blind Audition Pulls At The Judge's Heartstrings

This is a precious video of a girl singing straight from her heart. Check out this, “Like My Father” blind audition that pulls at the judge’s heartstrings.

Cara Hendriks begins singing with such beauty and maturity. The judges make faces in awe of her voice. One woman tears up and looks at her friends while the other places her hands on her heart. One judge moves his head.

The judges are contemplative and listen to the sweetness in the lyrics about how the father loves the mother. The family stands there nervously hoping for someone to turn the chair.

The judges begin to look at one another deciding who is going to turn. Some point and claim the girl to be theirs. Suddenly, two chairs turn at once. The girl finishes the song and covers her mouth in shock and awe that they turned their chairs. The lights come up and the audience and judges cheer.

They ask her name and tell her that they are pleasantly surprised by her voice and the song. Cara shares how her parents are so sweet to one another and she wants to have that with someone one day too.

They tell her that she is an old soul and has such wisdom. They tell her that her genuine performance gave them goosebumps.

What I love about this video is that a young woman was so heavily influenced by her parent’s love for one another that she chooses to sing a song in honor of them. The ways that we love one another are seen by those around us. May we remember to love like Christ, so others can see Him through us.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:34-35

Mother And Daughter From Ukraine Perform 'I Look To You' Duet

Be touched as you listen to this Ukrainian mother-daughter duet of ‘I Look To You.’ As our world walks through troubling times, it is so important to remember that God is always by our side.

“As I lay me down Heaven hear me now
I'm lost without a cause after giving it my all
Winter storms have come and darkened my sun
After all that I've been through who on earth can I turn to?

You may recognize Karolina from one of her many viral violin performances such as ‘Hallelujah’ or ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love.’ For years, she has shared her musical talents with the world and they’ve responded in waves of applause.

Now, it’s becoming a family affair as Karolina’s mom provides the vocals for this street performance of ‘I Look To You’ by Whitney Houston.

Just listen as this incredible duo belts out these words that we all need to hear right now.

“I look to you, I look to you
After all my strength is gone, In you, I can be strong
I look to you, I look to you
And when melodies are gone in you, I hear a song”

On YouTube, Karolina wrote a touching caption. “We are both form Ukraine. At this hard time this emotional song will make me truly cry. Cherish each other.”

Let us heed the words of Karolina and cherish each and every one around us.

1 John 5:15 “And if we know that he hear us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

Emotional Father Of The Bride Speech Receives Over 3 Million Views On TikTok

Listen to this emotional father of the bride speech that has received over 3 million views on TikTok. It is sure to bring a tear to your eye!

"My name is Eric Lane, I am the father of the bride," Eric begins. His daughter, Audra, recently married her husband, Chad, in Indiana.

"For some of you that don't know she had a pretty terrible accident in 2008 during that she spent 8 days in the ICU at Riley Hospital,” the father shared. "She had a litany of injuries and I'm not going to read them all off but one of them was a broken collar bone that was probably the least thing she had."

"There was also a chest tube that was sticking in her lungs at that time and what we found out was that if old dad would just sit there and put his hand on her heart it relieved enough pressure that she could be comfortable and rest," Eric explained. “So, I spent a number of hours just sitting there with my hand on her heart taking the pressure off and allowing the chest tube to not press up against the collarbone."

Then Eric shares how this story is symbolic of his marriage advice for the newlywed couple.

"Chad, it's your turn. You get to put your hand on her heart,” Eric said. “I thought it was a very good symbolism for what you get to experience now in that you get to take care of her heart. You're not going to outlove her and she can't outlove you. The two of you can only love each other."

What a beautiful message of love, and what an incredible bond between a father and his daughter! No wonder this moment was such a tearjerker at the wedding! May God bless this newlywed couple and their union.

7-Year-Old Who Went Viral With 'Let It Go' In Bomb Shelter Sings The Ukranian National Anthem

Only in a world where circumstances sometimes change in an instant is it possible for a precious 7-year-old to sing “Let If Go” in a bomb shelter and find herself singing her country’s national anthem on a concert stage within a month’s time! But, that is our world, and that is exactly what happened to Amelia Anisovych!

Amelia is one of the 3.5 million refugees that have now left Ukraine following the invasion of Russia. Watch here Amelia’s two beautiful, but starkly different performances.

In the first, introduced by CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Amelia sings at the invitation of a woman named Marta Smekhova, who had visited the shelter to help decorate it. Though we don’t see a lot of the surroundings, it does look cluttered with benches and desks and people. Perhaps, a bit of decorating was in order.

Amelia’s mother gave Marta permission to record her daughter as she sang “Let It Go” from the Disney movie Frozen. Amelia sings as if nothing is wrong because she loves to sing. But, for those watching in the shelter and half a world away, there is a combination of emotions.

While Amelia’s sweet voice combined with the lyrics of the song are a light in the darkness, they also illuminate the sadness so many feel for the Ukrainian people.

Here are a few lines from the song that Princess Elsa belts out in Frozen.

Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry
Here I stand and here I stay
Let the storm rage on

Marta commented, “From the first word in the [bomb shelter] came complete silence... everyone put their business aside and listen[ed] to a song by this girl who was just beaming light... even men couldn't hold back the tears.”

Watch as Amelia finishes. She’s unsure what the reaction will be, but the cheers and applause bring this brave little princess great happiness. She covers her smile as if embarrassed, having no idea just how many people will hear her sing!

Marta posted the video to social media, and it went viral. Affecting and poignant, Amelia’s song caused organizers of the “Together for Ukraine” charity concert to ask Amelia to sing “Glory and Freedom of Ukraine Has Not Yet Perished,” which is also known as “The State Anthem of Ukraine.” The song was designated as Ukraine’s national anthem in 2003.

Here are a couple of lines of lyrics from that song.

Ukraine is not yet dead, nor its glory and freedom,
Luck will still smile on us brother-Ukrainians.

Watch as Amelia, now with her hair fixed into two braids and wearing the embroidered dress that is the custom of Ukraine, sings to a crowd of thousands at a giant stadium in Lodz, Poland. She sings confidently and without reservation, just as she did back in Kyiv.

Again, as she finished her performance, she looks expectantly at the audience, not knowing how they will respond. Of course, they are moved by this little girl with an angelic voice and indomitable spirit. They applaud, and Amelia beams and takes a bow!

Amelia told Marta that she wanted to be a singer one day. One day came much sooner than Amelia could have ever expected. Hopefully, something will change overnight or next week.

Hopefully, peace will be restored to Ukraine and the families there can be reunited, sleeping safe and sound once again.

“Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:2

Former Football Player Dan Marshall Sings Chilling Rendition Of 'The Dance' On American Idol

Check out this video in which one former football player sings a chilling version of “The Dance” for American Idol judges and proves that a person really can be both tough and tender!

Meet Daniel Marshall Griffith from Chesapeake, Virginia. Dan introduces himself in just that way, adding that he “sing[s] country music.” He makes no mention of his past as a 4-year Virginia Tech football player, but, in fact, he’s got far more knowledge of and experience with touchdowns and tackles than he does guitars and Garth!

After his brief introduction, Luke Bryan asks Dan about his football past. The 24-year-old takes a couple of hits regarding his size. Lionel Richie wonders if the Division I school where Dan played was even able to fit him with a helmet. Ouch!

We see a montage of cute photos from Dan’s football career, which started all the way back at the age of 5. He describes his time at Virginia Tech as the “best four years” of his life.

Dan goes on to explain how he ended up at American Idol. He says that he’s always enjoyed singing, but he did it primarily in the privacy of his truck.

Being shy, he’d never performed in front of others until he forced himself to do so at his grandfather’s memorial service in the summer of 2021. He further surprises the judges when he admits that he’s only done a handful of  “gigs”—all within the previous 5 or 6 months!

It’s time for Dan to start, and the judges seem impressed with the song he’s selected. “The Dance,” which is considered by some to be Garth Brooks’ signature song, may have been a bold choice.

Brave, maybe. Irresponsible, absolutely not! Dan has got the pipes! The judges study Dan, each in their own manner as he croons his way through the audition. Lionel cites Dan’s story-telling gift and natural talent.

Katy says that she is already considering how to market Mr. Marshall. And, Luke considers Dan one of the best sounding country artists they’d heard—though, he may need to ditch the guitar.

Now, if the athletic accomplishments and the musical talent don’t garner Dan a ton of fans, his perfect manners will! He responds with humility and respect to each comment and crack, compliment, and criticism the judges “pass” him. The three send him out the door with three “yes” votes and a warning not to tear down the set. He’s headed to Hollywood!

“To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.” Matthew 25:29

17-Year-Old Auditions For Late Grandmother And Now She's Headed To Hollywood

Morgan Gruber turns heads with her voice. 17-year-old auditions for her late grandmother and now she’s headed to Hollywood.

Morgan is from Fombell, Pennsylvania. She tells the judges that she lives on twelve acres. She is asked what she does there and Morgan responds confidently, “I hunt, I fish, and I love every day like Luke.” The judges have fun with that answer.

Morgan sings “Can’t be Loved” by Elle King. As she sings, her voice is very mature and she has phenomenal style, runs, power, and poise. She wows the judges as she hits notes in unexpected ways. Morgan is quite an artist.

When she finishes, the judges say, “watch out.” Luke says, “We’ve gotta clap for this girl.” The judges all stand clapping for her.

Katy asks what motivated her to try out and she says that her grandmother passed away two years ago from cancer. Morgan shares that when she was younger, she used to make people turn around while she sang.

Her grandmother helped her to step out and be more confident as she sang. This audition was dedicated to her grandma. They called Morgan a “diamond in the rough.” They reveal that their papers say Top 20 and tell her that she is going to Hollywood.

This emotional and beautiful audition reminds us of the power of encouragement. Had Morgan’s grandmother not encouraged her to learn to sing confidently while facing others, she would not be able to have auditioned for American Idol.

We, as believers, are called to love one another through encouragement. When we see the potential for others as they shine for Christ, it is our joy to call those things out in them (like Morgan’s grandmother) and motivate them towards living for God with their gifts.

“Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

Piano Teacher Sam Moss Gets A Second Chance At Audition Thanks To Judge Katy Perry

Not everyone gets a major opportunity twice. In this video, a piano teacher Sam Moss, gets a second chance at an audition thanks to judge Katy Perry.

At the start of this video, Luke says, “Here we go, after a month, Katy’s wish came true.” There is celebration as a young woman with red hair in a hat walks in. Sam shares that she auditioned in Austin and it didn't go as she hoped. She wanted to show who she was but nerves got the best of her. She tears up. Sam says that this time she is going to sing a song that she wrote.

Sam sings beautifully. Her lyrics are heartfelt, not necessarily clean, but she gives a great performance. There is a depth and richness to her voice. Katy puts on a shirt in her honor and the judges stand clapping for her.

The judges all encourage her that she is a talented songwriter. When asked why she did not do that song the last time, she says that she was trying to be who they wanted her to be. They said that they want her to be herself. All three judges give her a yes.

The visual of a second chance reminds us of our own selves. God gave us a second chance after we sinned in the garden. Jesus came down and redeemed us back to God. This is not because we deserve it, but out of His great love and grace for us.

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.”  2 Corinthians 5:19-20
