This Moving 'Blessed Assurance' Cover Will Touch Your Heart

This moving “Blessed Assurance’ cover will touch your heart. It’s a wonderful, heartfelt performance of a classic hymn that is near and dear to the hearts of many. Watch the short but stirring clip to listen to this powerful performance of “Blessed Assurance.”

None of us can predict the future. Those who say they can are either liars or completely insane, and they are likely hoping you are too, so that you will believe them. We have no idea what will happen in five minutes, let alone five months or years from now.

All we have is this very moment. We are not promised tomorrow, or even that tomorrow will not bring with it unmitigated pain and tragedy. The future is a total mystery, a complete unknown. While uncertainty is often a frightening concept, we don’t have to fear what we don’t know. Yes, we will encounter pain, hurt and heartache as long as we remain on this Earth. But we don’t have to fear it or go at it alone.

Jesus Christ provides a peace that surpasses all understanding, a blessed assurance that He is still in control and at work no matter what happens. Even when sorrow and pain arrive at our doorstep, like an uninvited and unwelcome guest, He remains faithful, never leaving our side.

In a clip posted on YouTube, John Berry performs the hymn we all know and love, “Blessed Assurance.” It’s a masterfully performed cover, with those iconic and memorable lyrics sung beautifully. You’ll, without a doubt, want to listen to his rendition repeatedly.

In addition to his musical performance, John describes a devastating period in his life when he witnessed and experienced the Lord’s mercy, grace and faithfulness firsthand. Amid tragedy, the Lord offered blessed assurance, the peace that even though he was hurting, the Lord was still in control and sitting on the throne.

Hebrews 10:22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”

Genavieve Linkowski’s Stunning Take on ‘Firm Foundation’ Is a Must-Hear

This stunning take on the song ‘Firm Foundation’ is a must-hear! The singer in the video is Genavieve Linkowski, and her voice is incredible. May this wonderful worship song remind you that when we put our faith in Jesus, we will never be disappointed with the results.

‘Christ is my firm foundation, the rock on which I stand
When everything around me is shaken, I've never been more glad
That I put my faith in Jesus 'cause He's never let me down
He's faithful through generations, so why would He fail now? He won't’

The song ‘Firm Foundation’ was released in December 2021 as a single. It was written by Cody Carnes with Chandler Moore and Austin Davis. It peaked at No. 14 on the US Hot Christian Songs chart. The lyrics begin by declaring that Christ is our unshakable foundation, reminding us of the amazing gift that we have when we put our faith in Jesus.

The talented singer in the video is Genavieve Linkowski, a 26-year-old artist from a small town in Michigan. She is the oldest of 11 children, and she grew up classically trained in the piano, violin, and harp.

“I love Jesus. I sing songs. My Life Goal: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever,” Genavieve writes as the primary point on her music website.

Back in 2019, Genavieve tragically lost her sister in a car accident. “From that moment on, God began a journey to teach me lessons that only suffering can teach in a way that I would never ever in my life ask to be done,” Genavieve shares on her website. “God has used this tragedy to do what He has given me the desire to do with all of my life - to give Him glory! I pray that God will use my testimony to get you to the point of complete surrender to Jesus and His will for your life. May we all live to bring Him all the Glory He deserves.”

What a beautiful voice Genavieve has! She knows that this gift is from the Lord. May she continue to use it to bring Him glory!

Hundreds Join Voices in Powerful ‘Hallelujah’ Performance

An audience of hundreds recently joined voices in a powerful ‘Hallelujah’ performance in the Netherlands. The performance shows how wonderful and spontaneous collective singing can be. Watch the video to see the awesome performance.

In a kind of reverse performance setting, 850 attendees at a singing event all engaged their voices to sing Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” This unique event wasn’t like your typical concert. Instead of the singers standing on the stage and performing, everyone in the audience section of the auditorium stood and sang while a maestro and guitarist directed them.

The video spotlights the hundreds of singers, filming them from a view on the stage. Their collected voices sound trained and wonderful. Aptly, Leonard Cohen’s song is known across the world.

The song doesn’t have a precise meaning and is open to interpretation. But one artist, K.D. Lang, who profusely sang the song, said it is about “the struggle between having human desire and searching for spiritual wisdom. It’s being caught between those two places,” which would explain why people relate to the song all around the world. Some of the last verses from the song are:

I'll stand before the Lord of Song

With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

In a way, the song connects the sacredness of music with praise. It’s so cool to see nearly a thousand people—and strangers no less—all singing it in harmony together. ‘Hallelujah’ is a great song to sing along to. The Hallelujah verse rises and falls throughout the song, and it’s irresistible to sing to, even for those who aren’t born singers. I can certainly see there being more happy collective musical events like this in the future.

“Praise you the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.” Psalms 150:1

Stunning ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)’ Duet

This stunning ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)’ duet will leave you breathless and believing again. There are moments when heaven seems to break through earth—when a melody becomes more than notes, when a song becomes a prayer, and when two strangers worshiping on a street corner stop the world for a holy hush.

That’s exactly what happened in one breathtaking Reel shared by Luke Silva, a street musician known not just for his albums, but for the way he invites the audience to sing with him. With a guitar slung across his chest and the streets of the world as his stage, Luke has captured hearts everywhere. But this moment? This one was different.

As the opening notes of ‘Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)’ began to play, a young woman stepped into the space beside Luke. Then she closed her eyes and began to sing, and heaven must’ve leaned in.

Her voice—pure and angelic—rose up and met Luke’s rich, steady tone, and suddenly the noise of the street melted away. It was as if the whole city paused to listen. This wasn’t just a duet. This was worship in its truest form—unrehearsed, unfiltered, and utterly Spirit-led.

The comments poured in like water over stone:
“She has the voice of an angel.”
“He should be signed and on an album.”
“I haven’t been to church in years, but this brought me to tears.”

And isn’t that what music—real music—does?
It brings the far-off near.  It cracks the hardest places in us open. It makes room for God to whisper, I’m still here. One man wrote, “I’m 62. I haven’t been to church in years… but your voices made me cry.”

Another said simply, “God made those voices. Amen.”
Yes. Amen.

Because when that young woman stood on a sidewalk and sang with her eyes closed to the God who holds the waves—when Luke harmonized like his whole soul was tied to every word—they reminded us of something we too often forget: We were made to worship. Not in pews alone. But in parks and plazas. On sidewalks and city streets. Wherever feet may fail… and faith rises instead.

You could feel the ache in every line: “Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander…”
And isn’t that all of us? Wading into this life, unsure, overwhelmed—but whispering, lead me anyway.

This duet was a beautiful love song to the One who calls us out upon the waters. And whether you’ve known that song for years or it’s your first time hearing it, it lands the same way: right in the soul.

So, if you need a reminder that beauty still exists, watch this duet. Watch the young woman who sang with eyes shut and her heart wide open. Watch the crowd go still, and watch what God can do when two voices simply say yes.

Isaiah 43:2  "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you..."

One Pair Of Hands - James Kilbane

One Pair of Hands is a powerful ballad and latest release from James Kilbane, that a friend Mary from Charlestown in County Mayo, Ireland brought to his attention about ten years ago during a phone call. Mary spoke of this powerful song that she believed James should sing and record. It took a while until James heard the song and it soon got deep into him and it started a hope to maybe record the song one day. Then along came Covid and lockdowns with James returning to earlier songs and new potential material to listen to and record. One Pair of Hands was one of those songs! One Pair of Hands is a short song, but no less powerful. The opening verse tells us of the wonderful creations of God’s hands from accounts of creation found in the book of Genesis. The words cite the natural riches of the world that only the hands of God could ever craft. In the second verse, the song lists the miraculous works of Jesus’ hands. In His hands, there is healing, life and miracles. The hands that can calm the storm and feed thousands of people. These were very same hands that soldiers pierced with nails and bleed on the cross. With such strength, all of us can rely on it whenever life’s troubles come around and to put our faith in one pair of hands! #christian #gospelmusic #christianmusic #onepairofhands #croaghpatrick #countymayo #wildatlanticway #countrygospelplaylist #countrygospelhymns #countrygospelmusic #christiancountry #gospelmusic #gospelsongs
