William Murphy’s ‘It Is Well’ performance will give you chills and leave you reflecting on God’s peace. William and his choir’s praise sounds wonderful, strong, and sweet. Watch the video to see and hear the beautiful act of worship.

Performing artist and pastor William Murphy and his singing group launch into nearly 10 minutes of music in their performance of ‘It Is Well.’ It’s the most lively and soul-filled cover of the song that you’re likely to ever hear, with long vibrato-filled notes and improvised add-ins. Partway through the performance, William combines preaching and singing as he dances across the stage and riles up the crowd. 

The hymn can often take a very somber tone when it's performed in the typical way, but William’s version fills it with excitement, peace, joy, and hope. His performance says, “It is well with my soul, and I’m excited about it because I have full trust in God that he is with me.” Some of the lyrics William makes lively are:

The hymn has an incredible background. Horatio Spafford wrote the song in 1873, after his four daughters drowned in a voyage to England. His wife sent him a message: “Saved alone. What shall I do?” He headed to England and wrote the hymn as he passed over the spot where the shipwreck occurred. He lost a fortune in the Great Chicago Fire just two years prior. Horatio had many tragedies and even lost his four-year-old son to scarlet fever a few years later, but his trust in God never wavered. Despite everything, he would say, “It is well with my soul.”

Everyone is a sinner who needs to be brought back into a right relationship with Him. On this point, the Bible is completely clear where it stands, leaving no room to be interpreted in any other possible way. Romans 3:23 states that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. However, thankfully for us, that is not where things end.

The very next verse, Romans 3:24, mentions that even though we may be sinners, we can be forgiven only because of His grace and experience salvation, which is only available and found in Jesus Christ. Because of His love, He made a way for sinners to be forgiven and redeemed. And because of His love, He will never stop chasing after the lost. Even if the 99 may be saved, He will always remain concerned for and chase after the one.

In the official music video for his tune “The 99,” Mac reinforces the idea that God is constantly reaching out and running after the one. While our sin may be greater, the Lord’s grace and love will always be greater. There is nowhere we could go or anything we could do to escape His love.

Those lyrics perfectly describe the powerful, loving, faithful and merciful God we serve.

No one alive on Earth right now will still be here 150 years from now. Honestly, the likelihood of someone even making it to 100 years old is pretty slim. Sure, with technological advances and breakthroughs in the medical field, people are living longer than before. But the point remains: no one will stay on this Earth for eternity.

Death is something that all will experience at one time or another, and when that time comes, there are only two destinations. One is eternal, everlasting life with Him, while the other is one of complete separation and damnation, where there is much weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Heaven is the goal for every Christian; that is what we are all striving for and working toward. In “When I Meet Jesus,” Jeremy sings about those wondrous and marvelous first few moments when He finally meets his Lord and Savior. It’s hard to describe what such an encounter might look and feel like, but Jeremy’s beautifully written words do a tremendous job of doing so.

You are loved; you were worth it”

What powerful, moving words. We all hope to hear those words one day, that we have run the good race and He is well pleased. If Jeremy’s lyrics don’t give you goosebumps or send a chill down your spine, I’m not sure anything will.

Christian family bluegrass band The Petersens recently delivered a moving live cover of ‘Jesus, Strong and Kind’ in a YouTube performance. The family sings with Australian artist Colin Buchanan, the song’s author, in a relaxed and peaceful setting before they go on stage in front of a crowd. Each of the six Petersens plays a different instrument, and several of them harmonize with Colin as he leads them in song. The song sounds divine and lovely with all of the lovely string instruments. This kind of song is a far cry from one of those modern worship performances that can often be drowned out with drums and flashing lights; it’s still and slower, but gives God just as much praise. 

This song will undoubtedly fill your heart with peace and calm your spirit. It is such a beautiful reminder that no matter what we face, Jesus remains the same. We can always run to him.

Ben Rector and Mat Kearney’s ‘Praying for Me’ music video is the kind of pure joy and heartfelt fun you didn’t know you needed today—so let’s just say it: you’ve got to see this. I love how he teamed up with Ben and created a touching, faith-filled music video that’s also absolutely hilarious.

There is something so powerful and captivating about watching these two worship giants sing together that you can almost see God’s fingerprints all over their passion and purpose. It feels as though they were born for this moment, and we as fans were made for this kind of encouragement in the middle of our struggles.

This song is exactly what you need when life feels heavy—the kind of anthem that helps you stay faithful and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus no matter how tough the road gets. It’s like a cool glass of lemonade on a hot day, a refreshing reminder that God isn't finished yet, no matter how hard things are. Brandon opens with a bold declaration:
